Meet our small but hard working team...

1. Maddy Corbin

1. Maddy Corbin

With a passion for good food and keen to do something practical, Maddy set up The Pea Green Boat (TPGB) in 2011, cooking from her home kitchen and selling the produce at Edinburgh Markets. Maddy loves efficiency, has very high standards and doesn’t stand still for long – targets are smashed and re-set on a regular basis….
2. Sally Champion

2. Sally Champion

The right hand woman. After rowing and racing together through Scottish Coastal Rowing, Maddy and Sally decided they would also make a good business team; Sally joined TPGB in 2013. Sally can turn her hand to pretty much anything: production, sales, office work.... Whilst not making cheese sables or rowing she can usually be found looking after multiples of children.
3. Nick Johnson

3. Nick Johnson

The technical director. Nick has been part of the team since day one, and his primary role is to look after all things technical - there's nothing he likes more than fixing an oven or a mixer! Obviously a practical kinda guy, he can be found rebuilding his 1952 series 1 Land Rover in his spare time, or riding round on his Royal Enfield motorbike. Brilliantly he can also apply himself in the kitchen when the need arises.
4. Carolyn Elder

4. Carolyn Elder

Joining the Pea Green Boat team earlier in 2014 Carolyn helped bring production levels of Cheese Sablés to new heights! With a background in food quality, as well as working at various local food markets and having grown up on a farm she has been the perfect new recruit.
Like the rest of us at TPGB she's pretty versatile and is hands on with whatever needs doing - but she is the only member of the team who can drive a combine harvester....
5. Pam & Hugh Corbin

5. Pam & Hugh Corbin

The consultant and sales team. Having run a highly successful small preserve business for 15 years (Thursday Cottage) Pam & Hugh (Maddy’s parents) provide invaluable advice and support for TPGB. In his spare time, Hugh can be found growing vegetables, baking bread and catching lobsters, while Pam enjoys preserving anything and everything and regularly works for River Cottage – where the nickname ‘Pam the Jam’ was born. Pam has written two River Cottage handbooks: Preserves & Cakes. Hugh is the mastermind who came up with the original recipe for The Pea Green Boat's Cheese Sablés.
6. Peter

6. Peter

Peter is ultimately in charge.  On no account should he be challenged.
